Hello

I used to be completely clueless about holistic health. I begged for antibiotics when I was sick and I couldn't wrap my head around why on earth any woman would want to give birth without an epidural. Fast forward a decade and now I have completely changed how I think about health, I have a huge well of resources for holistic healing and I have had two home births. Isn't amazing how we can change?

My Story

I used to be completely clueless about holistic health. I begged for antibiotics when I was sick and I couldn't wrap my head around why on earth any woman would want to give birth without an epidural. Fast forward a decade and now I have completely changed how I think about health, I have a huge well of resources for holistic healing and I have had two home births. Isn't amazing how we can change?

It all started when I began experiencing stomach pain. This began when I was about 12 years old and I struggled with it until I was in college. I went to many MD's, GI specialists and even ended up in the Emergency Dept. Only to be told that not only could they not find anything wrong, but I had a beautiful digestive system. It was incredibly frustrating.

Finally, my parents finally decided an alternative route was worth a shot and I ended up in the office of a chiropractor in Brooklyn Center (Hi, Dr. King!). He did an exam and an adjustment and simply said he thought he could help me. This happened 10+ years ago and I have never experienced the stomach pain since getting adjusted.

This sparked some major curiosity. I wanted to understand what he did and how adusting my spine could possibly make my stomach pain go away. I began shadowing chiropractors, learning about nutrition and eventually toured a chiropractic school. The only way I can accurately describe that experience is to compare it to Harry Potter discovering Hogwarts. I couldn't believe there was an entire school full of students who thought like I did and were curious about natural and holisitic living. I was in my element.

About 6 months later I began my journey a Northwestern Health Sciences University. I had an open mind and was so excited to learn. I graduated from NWHSU 6 years ago with my doctorate and I have not stopped learning since.

It is my goal to master the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic. I want to continue to pour into my community and my family so that we can become as healthy and happy as possible.
